Jayson J. Phillips has spent the last 20+ years building teams, and products, for millions of users. He's also got a passion for coaching and teaching, and it has reflected throughout his career as well.

Jayson started breakpointt studio to serve as a catch-all consultancy to allow him to meet the technology and strategy needs of software companies, large and small. In 2020, Jayson started and produced “Pull Up & Code”, a Twitch stream aimed toward teaching technical concepts through writing software live. This channel gained over 30 ACV in 2021, and briefly hit 50 ACV.

As a senior engineering leader, he’s built and led teams at companies in various industries, including b2b observability products at honeycomb.io, consumer education software at Coursera, and building best-in-class learning platforms and product experiences over at Trilogy Education Services / 2U.

As a senior individual contributor, he’s built scalable software for platform and product that scaled to millions of users at Pandora and Apple, and with high performance constraints at companies like Knewton.

As breakpoint studio, Jayson has advised stealth companies and startups on different aspects of building a successful software company, including SOC2 compliance, Accessibility & VPAT, hiring, product market fit, MVP product roadmaps and more.
